Remembering we can do hard things

My hope is for change. It’s no secret education is in a tense and tumultuous place, but that doesn’t mean it will be forever. The children in my classroom today show me that they will bring the changes of tomorrow. I know that each moment of empathy, of intentional inclusion, of kindness, of remorse, of perseverance, of honesty, of joy, of hope…each of those moments is building the foundation of the future. I am honored to have a glimpse of all the possibilities to come.
